EVERLASTING BLOOMS: A WINTER FLORAL DESIGN CLASS

Unwind and create with dried flowers & fresh greenery in this cozy greenhouse inspired floral class. A peaceful way to beat the winter blues. Guided step by step, you’ll learn the fundamentals of designing with dried flowers while creating a centerpiece that feels organic, timeless, and warm!  This class is designed to be relaxing and welcoming – perfect for beginners and flower lovers alike. You’ll leave with a one-of-a-kind arrangement. Soft music and tasty mocktails provided.

PRUNING

Is your landscape looking a little over grown? Need help? Learn from an expert. Join Bruce Stedman from Little River Landscapes on how and when to prune flowering shrubs (azaleas, hydrangeas, lilacs), evergreens, fruit trees and more. Outdoor workshop so dress accordingly.

DAHLIAS, DAHLIAS, DAHLIAS

Learn everything about growing, dividing, storing, diseases, and how to get the most blooms out of your plants. We grew 600 dahlias last year. Class participation on dividing tubers, bring gloves if available. Participants get 10% off our dahlia sale.

HOUSEPLANT SUCCESS

Are your houseplants looking a little tired or have you tired and failed at them? Take this class to rewrite your story without quitting your day job! Nancy, owner of LRFF has a passion for helping people succeed. She has a collection of over 300 houseplants, two of which are over 125 years old. Learn methods to know your plants needs: Soil, light, watering, choosing right container, and even propagation techniques. A Plant Sale follows the class w/participants receiving 15% off.

HERBAL TEA WORKSHOP

Come sip & let’s talk tea!! Nyeela from The Rooted Heart Cafe & Apothecary will share her vast knowledge on how to blend teas for  delightful & refreshing beverages. Location is at Little River Flower Farm. Sampling tea and taking some blended tea home.

AROMATHERAPY

BUMBLE BEES (not honey bees) 

What is the buzz all about? Learn fun & important info on bee habitat and survival. Help us look for “Rusty”, an endangered bumble bee species in Maine. Class includes a bee habitat box.  Instructor has an educational bee business you want to hear about. He had his first beehive at age 5.

Come experience our FLOWER BAR on Thursdays and create a memorable takeaway while listening to some nice background music. We will be cutting a lot of dahlias to feature in this bar besides a plethora of many sizes, shapes, and colors from our flower gardens. Bring home a vase of beautiful summer blooms. Vase and beverages provided.

Like us on FACEBOOK to receive the dahlia varieties we are selling. Tubers $8 each, miscellaneous grab bags 3 tubers for $8 while they last.
